One of Scotland’s largest universities, UWS attracts 18,000 students a year and employs over 1,300 staff across 6 schools of learning.

When UWS was seeking to retender its requirement for fire safety maintenance, Firemark were given the opportunity to submit a response after we received positive feedback about Firemark’s service levels during a meeting with University Fire Safety Officers.

2,100 extinguishers across 4 campuses

We needed a supplier who could work with pragmatism and confidence in the complete reorganisation of the extinguisher estate. Firemark gave these assurances alongside their highly competitive bid and we were delighted to award them the contract.

To help realise the University’s future fire safety vision, discussions have taken place and the detailed specifics for each campus are now fully understood by both parties. This allowed Firemark to make proactive recommendations that assured us that we had made the right choice. The implementation of a robust succession plan has now guaranteed the University a future-proof provision of fire safety.
